April 12 Update

BIG CHANGES AHEAD FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN YOUR TOWN...

The HAMMRC team met with the Farmington Mayor, Ernie Penn and his planning commission last week to begin conversation about the development of a universal permitting system, along with selecting buildable sites. We have discovered that these are two crucial elements in attracting a medical manufacturer and marketing them to relocate. As a team, we are proactive about selecting sites for development and increasing the quality of their infrastructure. We are in the process of setting up meetings with Tahlequah and Stilwell, Oklahoma as they are our other two member cities.

Future Funding Opportunities

Both Congressman Womack and Senator Boozman have extended an offer for us to apply for different funding options after pitching our story and initiative for HAMMRC. We met with Representative Womack in Washington, D.C. on December, 1st and with Senator Boozman in our HAMMRC office on March, 11th. We are applying to receive Community Project Funding (CPF) from the House, and Appropriations Funding from the Senate.

NEW MANUFACTURINGINTEREST

With the development of our LinkedIn account, we are on the radar for Medical Manufacturing companies. Just this week, we have appeared in 168 searches.

Last week we met with a new company interested in partnering with us within the next 2 years. Being a member of HAMMRC gives you access to these companies (with our help) and a seat at the table to demonstrate why your town is best suited for economic development and job opportunity.
